The Best 40”-50” LCD HDTV’s

Hi everybody!
Last Friday, I gave you my opinion of the best budget (or starter) 32″ LCD TV. This week, I’m going to tell you which HDTV’s I’ve found to be the best of the 40″-50″ HDTV’s. This is the size range that most people look at when looking to switch to high definition, and there are plenty of great options to choose from. 2 manufacturers TV’s in particular stand out from the crowd in this category.
Sony Bravia KDL-46XBR4
This Sony Bravia HDTV is flagship of the Sony HDTV product line, and its’ price reflects that. If you want to go all out, and get a top of the line LCD HDTV, there is no way this model can be ignored. This set features full 1080p picture, 120Hz refresh rate (meaning it updates the picture twice as fast as a standard 60Hz LCD), a massive amount of color adjustment options for the perfect picture color, and plenty of connection inputs including 3 HDMI inputs. On top of all those features, CNET has rated this LCD HDTV to have the best black levels among all LCD TV’s so far.
All in all, it seems you can’t go wrong with this 46″ HDTV if you can afford its heavy price tag.
Samsung LN-T4671F

This is the second LCD HDTV that really stands out in the 40″-50″ range. This HDTV has many of the same features of the Sony Bravia, but at a slightly lower price. It features full 1080p screen resolution, 3 HDMI inputs, and 120Hz refresh rate. Very dark scenes tend to be a little bit blue-ish, but it’s not a distraction and the picture still looks great. The only real problem I see with this model is the super shiny, plasma TV type of screen. It reflects light just like a plasma set does, taking away one of the main advantages of owning a LCD TV over a plasma TV.
Ultimately, if you find the Sony Bravia to be a bit out of your price range, this TV can be found slightly cheaper while still offering nearly the same quality.
